Canadian Business Announces BreatheSuite’s Inclusion in 2022 New Innovators List

Canadian Business and the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship celebrates 50 trailblazing companies that are redefining what it means to be truly innovative

St. John’s, NL, Canada (February 7, 2022) – BreatheSuite Inc., a Canadian connected-health company founded in 2018 that helps people with chronic respiratory conditions breathe easier and live healthier lives, has secured a spot on the inaugural Canadian Business New Innovators List, recognizing 50 companies that are challenging the status quo. The companies included on the New Innovators List were evaluated by Canadian Business and the BII+E research team on several qualitative and quantitative criteria related to innovation, environment, impact intentionality and diversity, equity and inclusion.

BreatheSuite is striving to enhance the lives of people living with serious respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD by improving their inhaler use and adherence. BreatheSuite’s add-on device for metered-dose inhalers – which has received 510(K) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – connects to a mobile app, allowing a person to track inhaler technique, usage and adherence. Coupled with BreatheSuite's device and technology, remote Respiratory Health Coaches are available to coach and support every BreatheSuite user, laying the foundation to better health and happier lives.

“The BreatheSuite team is pleased to be included in the inaugural Canadian Business New Innovators List. It’s an honor to receive this prestigious distinction for our work to improve the lives of people with asthma, COPD, and other respiratory conditions,” said Brett Vokey, CEO and Founder of BreatheSuite.

Presented by Canadian Business and the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship (BII+E), the New Innovators List celebrates 50 trailblazing companies that are challenging the status quo and redefining what it means to be truly innovative—with great products and services, progressive leadership, and forward-thinking social and environmental initiatives.
